The 2010 Ratings are out and the game should be out in about a week. With that, we can move forward with some dates.

Sunday, May 2 - END OF TRADING PERIOD, FINAL ROSTER CUTS (12 midnight, pacific time)

Monday, May 10 - ROOKIE DRAFT BEGINS (concludes Friday, 5/21)

Wednesday, June 2 - FA DRAFT BEGINS (continues forever, at least it seems. We're starting on Wednesday to accomodate Memorial Day in the US)

When posting your cuts and contracts, post them in the new thread. You will find instructions there. You need to be aware of team restrictions/requirements of which I've listed many below. Additionally, you must protect (keep) a minimum of 22 players at a maximum of $70M in salaries (this doesn't include fines) entering into the 2010 FA draft. Also, we will have 52 man rosters this year. Owners who don't comply with the date and/or requirement face penalties. No trades will be accepted after the cutoff period. For a trade to be accepted for review by the trade committee, it must be posted and confirmed by both parties in the trade forum. Email exchanges are not official trades. No modifications to trades will be allowed after May 2.

While we're talking about trades, I am looking for a volunteer to be a part of the trade committee as Walt has left the league. Send me an email if interested. Also, when you post a trade, make sure to send an email to the committee members alerting them (currently Jerry, Cliff, and Mike Stein (alternate).

You have one more week to petition for a new stadium or change of team name. This opportunity will close Sunday, April 11th.

As always, if you have any questions, please ask. It's much better than the frustrations that come with misunderstandings. Also, we are still in need of two more owners.

Here are the roster requirements I mentioned earlier:

6.2 - At the start of each season, each owner must have at least the
following number of attempts by skilled players on their rosters:

a. 400 pass attempts
b. 300 rushes
c. 200 receptions
d. 20 field goal attempts
e. 40 punts
f. 20 kick off returns
g. 20 punt returns

6.3 - At the start of each game, each roster must include 52 players
including the following minimum number of players at the following positions:

2 QBs
3 RBs
6 Rec (minimum of 1 TE)
7 OL (minimum 1C, 2OTs and 2OGs)
1 PK
1 Punter
6 Def Linemen (min of 2DTs and 2DEs)
6 LBs (minimum 1 ILB and 2 OLBs)
7 DBS (minimum 2CBs and 2Ss)
1 KR
1 PR
H backs can be used as TEs or RBs and LB/S can be used for either position.

6.5 - Teams which do not comply with Rule 6 roster requirements will be penalized $500K
at the end of the draft period for next season's draft for each infraction, and
the league office will assign players to team rosters that are not in compliance with rule
requirements. Players will be assigned by alphabetical listing of free agents at the given
position and players will be cut on the basis of the lowest salaried player and then by
alphabetical order. Teams which make no reasonable attempt to comply with the roster
requirements will risk expulsion from the league.
